Sildenafil Chewables
Chewable sildenafil tablets providing faster absorption and onset compared to standard tablets, with convenient administration for patients who have difficulty swallowing pills.
What is the FDA-approved use of Sildenafil Chewables?
Chewable sildenafil provides:
- •Treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men with faster onset than standard tablets.
- •Convenient administration for patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets.
- •Similar efficacy to standard sildenafil tablets with potentially quicker absorption.
Limitations of Use:
- •Chewable formulation may have different absorption characteristics.
- •Not recommended for men with severe cardiovascular disease.
- •Should not be used with other PDE5 inhibitors.
Chewable formulation provides convenience but requires same precautions as regular sildenafil.
Who should not use Sildenafil Chewables?
Do not use Sildenafil Chewables if:
- •You are taking nitrates for chest pain or guanylate cyclase stimulators.
- •You have severe cardiovascular disease or uncontrolled blood pressure.
- •You have a known hypersensitivity to sildenafil or any tablet component.
- •You have been advised to avoid sexual activity due to cardiovascular risk.
- •You have severe liver or kidney impairment.
How should Sildenafil Chewables be administered?
Chew the tablet completely before swallowing. Can be taken with or without food. Take approximately 30-60 minutes before sexual activity.
Important: Do not exceed one tablet per day. The chewable formulation may work faster than regular tablets but has the same duration of action.
