What is the FDA-approved use of Sildenafil Oral Tablets?

Generic sildenafil is FDA-approved for:

  • Treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men.
  • Same therapeutic effects as brand-name Viagra® at lower cost.

Limitations of Use:

  • Bioequivalent to brand Viagra® but may have different inactive ingredients.
  • Not indicated for use in women or children.
  • Should not be used with other PDE5 inhibitors.

Generic sildenafil provides the same efficacy as brand-name with potential cost savings.

Who should not use Sildenafil Oral Tablets?

Do not use Sildenafil if:

  • You are taking nitrates for chest pain or guanylate cyclase stimulators.
  • You have a known hypersensitivity to sildenafil or any tablet component.
  • You have severe cardiovascular disease or recent heart attack/stroke.
  • You have been advised to avoid sexual activity due to heart problems.

How should Sildenafil Oral Tablets be administered?

Take as needed, approximately 1 hour before sexual activity. Can be taken with or without food, though high-fat meals may delay onset.

Important: Do not take more than one dose per day. Follow your healthcare provider's dosing instructions carefully.
